THE COSTUME PEOPLE

Costume On welcomes Patty Davis, owner of The Costume People, a small Historical Costuming Studio just outside of Toronto.  She has designed and reproduced Victorian/Edwardian Women’s costumes and millinery, in addition to educational talks and seminars concerning all things frilly in the Victorian age.

Patty has worked with many museums, theatres and private clients in Ontario and New York State, exhibiting her large collection of antique Victorian Women’s clothing for over ten years. With expert knowledge passed on from her mother and grandmother and countless hours of research and study, she has taught herself to work out the construction methods used on Victorian clothing and millinery and build the trims (her favorite part!).
